This is a volunteer position that began on Inauguration Day 2008 when Cheryl posted the first entries onto the President’s Blog. The frequency of her posts there subsided while she started the freelance writing network but you will see an increase of her writing on President Obama’s Blog.

Served a six-month Public Relations internship through the Job Training Partnership Act. Classroom training in Computer Technology and Business Math/English. Worked as a press agent, magazine and newspaper Editor for the College. Created stories for the College Magazine and Memoirs. Conducted personal interviews. Arranged TV, newspaper, and radio press coverage. Sent out PSA’s. Trained students in journalism skills for newspaper. Designed layout and content for event programs and brochures. All work performed without supervision upon the approval of my skills from the Director.

Introduction : What is Literature?
This short piece of prose won Cheryl a $1500.00 Scholarship in Literature and an A+ for the Literature course for that semester.
1965-66: Accomplished in Poetry and Prose as a self actualized writer who was born with talent. Cheryl Gardner has been writing since she could hold a pencil in her hands. She fell in love with poetry, prose, epic poetry and its recitation in Sixth Grade under the mentoring and encouragement of her Teacher, Miss McKee. She recited a poem every morning for the class.
